Plan around fixed dates
Start with commitments such as appointments, trips and submission dates. Check the following month too when a deadline falls near its beginning.
- Open Month view and go to the month you want to plan.
- Review the items on each day. On a phone, tap a date to see its list.
- Add preparation tasks on earlier days. Write due dates in their descriptions, or use the separate deadline field with Premium.
Work backward from a deadline
If a report is due on the 28th, you could create three tasks: 'Collect figures' on the 18th, 'Review the draft' on the 24th and 'Submit the report' on the 27th. Note the due date in the description, leaving a day for corrections. With Premium, you can also set the submission task's deadline to the 28th.
Moving a task changes its work date, not its deadline. If your plan changes, review the other preparation tasks yourself.
Check repeating tasks
When editing a repeating task or event, check whether the change applies to this occurrence, this and future occurrences or the whole series. Choose a single occurrence for a one-off exception.

Can I export a month's plan?
