Plan your week with YakoPlan
A useful weekly plan shows both what needs doing and what is already fixed. YakoPlan brings tasks, events and notes into the same week, while letting tasks stay untimed. Start with a few commitments, then add detail when it makes the next step clearer.
Open YakoPlanBuild a week you can adjust
Open the planner and use the Week view. You can begin locally without an account, so there is no setup step between an idea and the first task.
- Add fixed appointments first. Their times show which parts of a day are already occupied.
- Select an empty area in a day, type a task title and press Enter. Keep typing to add the next task; leave the time empty unless it matters.
- Add a deadline when there is a real due date. Put context in the day's note, then review whether the remaining work fits around your appointments.
Keep the work date and deadline separate
Imagine a report is due on Friday. Schedule the first draft for Tuesday and keep Friday as the deadline. If Tuesday becomes too busy, move the task to Wednesday. The deadline remains a separate commitment, so a schedule change does not quietly change the due date.
Use a time block for work that needs protected attention, such as drafting from 10:00 to 11:00. Leave a small errand untimed when it can happen anywhere in the day. Both can sit alongside fixed events without forcing the whole list into an hourly schedule.
Give repeated work and notes a place
Add recurrence for work that returns, such as a weekly review. When editing a repeating task or event, choose one occurrence, this and future occurrences, or the entire series. That makes an exception for a holiday different from a permanent change to your routine.
Use day notes for meeting points, a decision you want to remember or a short end-of-day review. At the end of the week, look at unfinished tasks and decide where each belongs next instead of treating every unfinished item as urgent.
Frequently asked questions
Does every task need a time?
No. A task can belong to a day without a start time. Add a time only when it helps you make a useful commitment or reserve focus time.
Can I take a copy of my weekly plan?
Yes. In Settings, choose Data & account when signed in, or Plans on this device for local planning. Export a selected date range as iCalendar, CSV or JSON. These exports exclude attachments and are not a complete account archive.
